We continue to benefit from the Citywide Furniture Drive held this past fall. As a result of this event, we have developed three new local business partners who support our vision to empower people in our community who strive for housing independence.
Since the furniture drive, Ethan Allen Design Center [www.ethanallen.com] continues to donate used mattresses to the Furniture Bank. LaDifference [www.ladiff.com] has been running a special promotion on chairs, donating a percentage of proceeds to the Furniture Bank, raising $450 to date. West End Antiques [www.westendantiques.com] also continues to make donations to the Furniture Bank on behalf of their customers. Additionally, Manager, Matt Earle has volunteered his expertise in helping us in our thrift shop to recognize and appropriately price valuable donations.
The commitment and generosity of our community and business partners is invaluable. This holiday season, please support these local businesses by shopping at their stores. Together, we can all make a difference in the fight against homelessness in our community.
