Extra Shelter Site During the Holidays
We are pleased to announce that in collaboration with St. James’s Episcopal Church, CARITAS is offering an additional emergency homeless shelter location during the week between Christmas and New Years.
During the winter months CARITAS typically offers three shelter sites for single adult men, one site for single adult women, and one site for families with children. However, when the opportunity came available this year to offer an additional shelter location during the holidays, CARITAS seized upon the option to make 30-40 additional beds to persons that might otherwise be alone during the holidays. St. James’s is within walking distance of downtown, making it an ideal location.
