Want to volunteer and help those less fortunate but don’t think you have time?
Be a Neighborhood Ambassador for the CARITAS Furniture Bank! Come and visit us once and learn how we recycle and reuse central Virginia’s household essentials to help families and individuals in the transition from housing crisis to stability. The extras that are flowing out of your closets and garage can help a family achieve housing independence.
Easy Steps

- Come visit the CARITAS Furniture Bank and experience first hand the difference you can make
- Talk to your friends about us and let them know how they can donate anytime of the year.
- Be an ongoing advocate for the CARITAS Furniture Bank in your circle of influence, directing people on how to donate.
Going the Next Step
It is easy to coordinate a neighborhood furniture drive!
Pick a weekend and we will park the CARITAS Furniture Bank truck in your neighborhood. Get the kids involved and fill the truck with household essentials. We will provide furniture dollies, blankets and flyers to distribute. We can even provide some strong guys on Friday if there are larger items.
Items donated to the CARITAS Furniture Bank will be given to clients and used to further the mission of CARITAS.
